As the unrelenting rain splatter
Black clouds gather in the sky
Crying yes, yes we do matter
It’s a mix of sorrow and faith
A step forward with every sight
Drenched kids jump in the puddle
Holding umbrellas of hope tight
These are not the protests of fury
Though the pouring rain swallows us all
These are marching drops of freedom
Waiting for sunshine after rainfall
